Shipping, Returns, Contact Information and Other Terms of Service

We admit this is alot to read, so feel free to check our FAQ first for quick answers or email us about anything here before you order. We are always happy to clarify. In general, we only issue store credit for return items, shipping excluded, unless there is a manufacturer defect or error in the type of item shipped. You should contact your carrier if the item was damaged in shipping. Please use the link above for more details, including, our return address and contact information. IMPORTANT: If you have completed payment by credit card and then cancelled your order, you must email us to let us know so that we can make confirm that your card has not been charged.
Your card is charged when you place your order and there is a delay before funds reach our account. In the event there is a backorder beyond our advertised shipping time or the item is out of stock, you have the option to select a substitute or a refund to your account (see below). A refund may take a few days to show on your statement as it goes from bank to bank. In some instances, your charge will void automatically and we never receive the funds even though an authorization may appear on your statement. In that case you will find that the credit to your account should be automatic. Items are shipped as available and your account is credited if items are out of stock. If you only prefer that your order be shipped in its entirety, please indicate on your invoice.
Cancellations
You may cancel your order at any time until we commence processing (usually within 24 hours of placing your order) by logging into your account. You have to set up an account to have this option. Once we have begun to process your order, you will not be able to cancel it online and your order will have to be handled as a return or exchange. We incur costs once we have commenced processing before your order is shipped to you. Please place your order accordingly. In no event can we credit accounts as other than a return once your order has shipped.
When you log onto your account, your order will still show as "Recent." Once we have commenced processing your order, your order will show as "Approved" or "Pending" and any cancellations made at that time have to be processed as returns and will incur the associated restocking fee. We cannot cancel or modify an order once processing has commenced which is generally within an hour of your order placement. Placed orders are processed and queued to ship. The restocking fee for most cancellations is 15%. (Certain designer items ($100+) may have a higher restocking fee. See Returns for more information about our return policy and restocking fees).
Backorders
If your item is on backorder (as noted on the status update page) or if you have received a notice that your item is on backorder, you may request cancellation via email for a full refund of that item if the B/O (Backorder) is beyond the stated processing time for Standard or Discount Shipping. Please request confirmation of your cancellation request.
Please note, backordered items are shipped as available up to 8 weeks from your order as a courtesy unless (1) you have indicated in your order a "Ship By" date (see below for details) that has not been met, (2) You request that your order be shipped in its entirety in one shipment or (3) you have made a written request for cancelllation receipt of which has been confirmed. (If you do not receive written confirmation of your request, please call to speak to an operator within 2 days of your email request noting the date and time of your that request.
Exchanges and Store Credit
Items may be returned for an exchange or store credit only and must be unused and meet any other criteria for returnable items. (See our return policy). Store credit is valid for 90 days from issuance. Simply make a regular purchase online in the amount of your credit and reference your old order number with the credit reference in the comment section of your new order.
Shipping Options/Status Checking and Emails
Please note, we save money that we pass onto you in lower prices by giving you the means to check the status of your order online rather than engaging in lengthy email correspondance . Upon checkout, you will receive a url link that will allow you to determine, at your own convenience, if your item is still pending (in which case the item may be on backorder and you can still cancel it online), approved and cued for shipping or completed which means it has been shipped. If your item was cancelled, it's usually because it is no longer available.
Orders that combine invalid coupons or discounts are automatically cancelled. If your card is declined, the order is never processed and automatically cancels.
If you select our "Discounted Shipping" option, please note that the time selected refers to additional processing time. Standard processing time for orders can be from 1 to 2 weeks. So an item with a discounted shipping selection could take from 1 to 4 weeks to process before it is shipped.
Please note that processing time is not delivery time. About 70% of the time, we still use the standard processing time, but it's a convenience for us due to the amount of orders we handle and the custom nature of certain products.
If you need your items more quickly, you may want to select standard shipping option (these items are processed before all discount option orders subject to availability of stock). Please contact us or indicate on your order if you have a specific deadline by which you need to receive your item or if you don''t understand anything in our terms. If we cannot accommodate a specific deadline, we will contact you prior to processing and you may cancel.
We ship items together and credit you for out of stock items unless you indicate when you place your order that you wish your order to be shipped in its entirety. If that is your wish, please indicate on your order otherwise we only ship the items that are in stock.
Our business days are generally M to F (until noon) excluding Public and Jewish Holidays. Our non-business days are posted below. Online account status checking, however, allows you to access your account and order status 24/7. Please note..holiday periods are our busiest time and processing time may take a week or two longer. If you have urgent shipping needs or a deadline, please contact us to enquire about expedited shipping or whether we can advance your order or anticipate your shopping needs accordingly.
Sales Tax
Sunday Colors collects 6 % sales tax for items shipped to New Jersey.
Please note that Canadian customers must pay the shipper directly for all
applicable taxes, customs and import duties of the destination country.
Coupons, Discounts and Free Gifts
We have various free gift offers, discounts and coupons offered throughout the year. All of these offers are available via a coupon sometimes supplied via email link or directly onsite via a coupon that must be added to your shopping cart to take effect. Please note that the coupon cannot be activated any other way and we do not add coupons retroactively. Coupons received by mail must be added to future orders. In other words, if your coupon is not in your shopping cart, you do not have the applicable offer or discount. Please contact us if you have questions.
General/Standard Processing Time For Orders
We do not provide shipping to APO/FPO/PR/GU/VI or to International destinations other than Canada at this time.
Processing time in most instances is within 4-12 business days of receipt of your payment. Many of our items are handmade or imported or delivered from different warehouses which accounts for the difference in times. We also favor unique items made by small vendors and home businesses which offers you variety, but may add a little processing time. We always process standard delivery items before discount shipping items. In addition, items low in stock go to those orders selecting standard delivery first.
We ship using
USPS Priority Mail, UPS or Media Mail unless otherwise noted. On orders that require engraving please add another (3) business days. If there are more than 3 items to be engraved please add (2) two business days. All merchandise will be efficiently delivered via USPS or United Parcel Service (UPS), whichever is more cost effective. If we ship via UPS, you will receive an email notification that your order has been shipped. Tracking numbers will be provided for your reference upon request. Sunday Colors will do what it can to help you track your package, however we are not responsible for your lost or delayed package once the package has been delivered to the carrier. If you are concerned about breakages...a rarity for us...you should indicate on your order that you would like insurance. We will bill you separately for the insurance.
It is the customer's responsibility to give a shipping address that will enable the carrier to deliver. The individual carrier at his/her discretion may choose to leave the package at the door. If the package is left at the door, then it becomes the customer's responsibility. It is advisable that the shipping address provided indicate the name of a receiver. There maybe an additional charge for incorrect address listed on the order form, or for any change of address once the package has been shipped and in the carrier's possession. It is the customer's responsibility to provide the correct shipping address. Sunday Colors assumes no liability for packages left at the door. It is highly recommended that the shipping address provided have an adult to sign for the package. (At this time we cannot ship orders to NON-US Countries other than Canada and there will be an additional charge for Hawaii, Virgin Islands and Alaska) . Please note, we reserve the right to refuse service and payments on our merchandise.

Methods of Payment
Paypal is our preferred method of payment, but only to confirmed addresses. Please note, your confirmed paypal address overrides any other shipping address you may enter. We only ship to confirmed paypal addresses. We also accept Visa, Mastercard and American Express. US Postal Money Orders made payable to our parent company Sophistication Alley
Ltd. We also accept personal checks. All payments must be in US funds.
Out of Stock
Some of our items are so popular that we occasionally run out of stock
before we can post the information to our website. We will notify you as
soon as possible if your item is on backorder and there is an available substitute, otherwise, your online account will show the item as pending or cancelled if it has been discontined or will not be available. Your order
will be given priority if you wish to reorder regardless of your shipping selection if the item is again in stock. Please note that prices are subject to change without notice for new orders and are based on the current website listing.

All items won at auction are "as is" and final as are sale or discount items. Please review the auction

Bulk Fee Shipping Costs For Certain Residents
West Coast Residents,CA,AK,CO,ID,WA,OR,UT,TX and AZ Residents and/or Residents with Zip Code Prefixes 865-885; 889-893; 900-921;922;923-961;970-986;988-994, residents of Hawaaii, the US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico please be advised that you may incur additional shipping costs on some orders. You will be notified by email prior to shipping. Our system sometimes defaults to these costs on lightweight items that don't incur this fee, so please feel free to contact us or make a notification on your invoice if you believe an adjustment is in order.
International Shipping
At this time we ship only to Canada using USPS Global Priority Mail and Air Mail unless otherwise indicated. Not all items are available for overseas shipping and shipping amounts are estimates only. You will be advised if the charge varies prior to our processessing your order. Shipping times are generally longer than advertised for overseas shipments by a week or so. We will send you email confirmation of when your item has shipped and are happy to advise you of the post office estimates for delivery if you contact us.
Please be aware that international
shipments are sometimes delayed by customs inspections over which we have no control. International customers
are responsible for paying any customs and import duties. For additional
information, please contact your local customs office.

We reserve the right not to conduct a transaction with a customer. The policies expressed on this site, including, but not limited to the shipping information, the refund and privacy information together with any other information regarding transactions are the rules that govern use of any Sophistication Alley Site (the "Terms").
